Blueberry coffee...sounds weird, right?

This is the best darn coffee out there. One try and you are hooked!
It tastes like coffee in your mouth with a blueberry muffin aftertaste. The flavor is not strong, just a hint of bluberry!
The smell when it is brewing is delightful!
I encourage all people with a Keurig to try it once. I am the pickiest eater I know and I love it!!!

Comparing the Keurig K Cup Coffee Maker Models

The popularity of K Cup coffee makers has sparked a new interest in home coffee brewing around the world. As people discover this great new way of making coffee, they naturally have questions about what models are the best to buy. I will be reviewing several different models, but in this article I take a look at three of the Keurig models to provide you with an idea of the differences between them.

Keurig K Cup invented the idea, so it is natural that they have some of the best and most popular brewers on the market today. Among them are the Mini B30, B40 Elite, and the Platinum B70. I describe how the K Cup coffee maker works in general in another article on this topic, and these three models use the same basic technologyto accomplish the task of brewing a cup of coffee. The significant difference between the low and the high end are speed of brewing, and water capacity.

The Mini B30 was designed for those who do not want a coffee maker to take up a bunch of counter space. While the B40 and B70 both have large water reservoirs, the B30 has none. With the B30, you press a button on the top to open the "jaws" of the brewer to insert your K Cup (the B30 only takes the 8 oz cup size). After inserting your favorite blend, you close the lid and the door for the water reservoir opens. At this point you fill the reservoir with 8 ounces of water, close the lid and wait about 3 minutes for the eleMent to heat the water and pump out a hot cup of coffee. Byeliminating the larger water reservoir the B30 definitely takes up less space, but at the cost of a bit longer wait time for a cup of coffee. It is designed very well, is attractive, and fits nicely in just about any nook in your kitchen.

The B40 and B70 are very similar in design. The only significant difference between these two models is capacity. The idea of the water reservoir is to provide Faster brewing times. With pre-heated water in the tank, it only takes about 30 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. The B40 has a 48 oz. reservoir, and the B70 has a 60 oz. reservoir. In the time it takes the B30 to brew a single cup, you could pump at least 5 cups out on either of these models. The other advanTAGe of the larger models is the ability to brew varyingamounts of water. The B40 can brew 8 and 10 oz. cups while the B70 can brew 6, 8, 10, and 12 oz. cups.

For the coffee-lover who likes the ability to program the brewer functions, the B70 offers the greatest number of automation features. While the B30 is essentially a manual personal brewer, the B40 has an "auto off" feature, and the B70 is programmable with drive-on, drive-off, and adjustable water temperatures.

For Me Green Mountain K Cups Keurig Brewer And Are The Perfect Combination

For Me Green Mountain K Cups Keurig Brewer And Are The Perfect Combination

I'm of those people that the first thing I do in the morning is to prepare one of my Green Mountain K Cups in my Keurig brewer before my eyes are even open. It's not only actually drinking the coffee that wakes me up, but the sweet aroma while it's brewing arouses me out of my stupor. To me this is the ultimate system because I prepare the great tasting coffee fresh when I want it and there is no waste from brewing too much. If I want another I just stick another K cup and repeat the process.

The great thing is that I don't have to settle for second best. Green Mountain K cups is gourmet quality coffee that is designed to be made in brewers such as the Keurig. The process simple and quickand there is no measuring involved. There are quite a few breakFast blends available, so if I get Tired of certain blend, there is plenty more to choose from. Sometimes I feel like a stronger bold blend or a tasty espresso and of course those are available also. What I like about the variety available is that everyone can have the blend they are in the mood for and not settle for what the person who prepared the coffee preferred that day.

Sure I can go out in my pajamas to the gourmet coffee shop and hopefully set the words coherently for a cup of coffee. But why would I want to drag myself out and overpay for a cup of coffee when I can prepare the same type of coffee with my Green Mountain K cups and Keurig> brewer?

I have one in my office also so I can have fresh coffee when I feel like it without having to run out to get one or drinking the reheated coffee someone made yesterday. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for a great tea or a hot chocolate and that's not a problem either. Green Mountain K cups also has great variety of teas and cocoa and I can conveniently make them in my Keurig brewer also.

How Long Can I Store Keurig K-Cups?

How Long Can I Store Keurig K-Cups?

While K-Cups are sealed in such a way that makes them shelf stable and non-perishable items for quite a long time, most K-Cups come with a "best if used by" date. This article will help you understand how to get the best flavor out of your Keurig K-Cups by storing them well and following freshness suggestions.

How Keurig K-Cups are Sealed

Each K-Cup is flushed with nitrogen and then sealed in an Air-tight, moisture-tight cup. You are familiar with the foil lid you see on the top of your K-Cups. This lid is adhered to the top of the cartridge as soon as it is filled with fresh coffee or tea grounds, and the K-Cup remains Air-tight and moisture-free until the needle of your Keurig brewer punctures the foil.

The ShelfStability of a K-Cup

Keurig K-Cups remain shelf stable almost indefinitely. The contents will not be exposed to Air or moisture, so they won't be susceptible to the conditions necessary for the coffee to spoil. Not until you put the K-Cup into your Keurig brewer will the coffee be exposed to moist conditions, so there's no chance that mold or mildew can grow in your coffee. You may wonder, then, why each K-Cup comes with a "best if used by date."

Best If Used By Suggestions

When the company roasting the coffee for the K-Cups manufactures the coffee grounds, they establish a window of time in which the coffee will be the freshest. When coffee is fresh, the flavor will bebolder, more robust and have a fresher "bite" to it. The dates you see printed on the box or imprinted onto the Keurig K-Cup is the last day that the brewer can recomMend the coffee as being its freshest. While the coffee won't necessarily be spoiled at this date, it may begin to lose some of its original flavor or become stale.

It's best to purchase coffee as you use it, and keep a fresh stock on hand. While the manufacturer's suggestions may not be the literal end of a K-Cup's usefulness, it is generally best to follow their suggestions.
