It was exactly the third day that I was out of the country before the cravings became unbearable. All I could remember was that I felt like an addict, a drug addict.

I presumed that the addictiveness is of even greater intensity.

It's really nothing but the addiction to coffee.

Contrary to popular beliefs that coffee is harmful to health as in it is addictive and causes insomnia, moderate intake of coffee has proven to help in promoting better health. Not only it does provide antioxidants that boost the insulin level, it also reduces headaches and asthma attacks. As long as coffee is taken not more than three cups a day with relatively low sugar content, coffee is believed to be good for health.

I was once told, to get the best pizza, you will need to head to Italy; to get the best red wine, you will need to hail to France; but to get the best, finest cup of coffee in the world, you will need to be in Brazil. This is due to the fact that Brazil is the current largest coffee beans producer in the world and is known as the king of coffee world.

However, it is said that there are still other countries like Columbia, Cuba, Indonesia and others that do also produce fine coffee like Brazil. This relies largely on individual preferences. Some may like coffee that tastes bitter while some may like coffee to be a little sweeter. This is then brought us to numerous personality tests based on individual coffee preferences.

Coffee is regards as one of the most famous beverages of human beings and so, its supply must be continuous. The coffee plants are planted to obtain the coffee cherries which are ready to be harvested after 5 years of planting. The fruits of the cherries are then removed to obtain the coffee beans which are then being dried up. The methods used to process the coffee plants to get green coffee beans will affect the flavour of brewed or roasted coffee.

There are generally two types of coffee beans, being the Robusta and Arabica. Arabica consists of a wide array of roasted coffee flavours. It can be light roast, medium roast and dark roast coffee types. The light roast coffee is smoother and lighter in taste. As for Europeans, they are avid lovers of both the cappuccino and espresso.
